I was hoping for a five-star experience and tried to will it into being. However, despite my high hopes, I struggled to connect with the book. When I pick up a novel, I want to feel immersed, not just read the pages. Unfortunately, I found a complete disconnect with both the characters and the storyline, as if I was standing on the outside looking in. The tension and suspense the author intended to convey didn’t resonate with me.

Having loved Grant’s previous book, “These Silent Woods PDF,” I’m not giving up on her work and will definitely try another of her books in the future. There are plenty of positive five-star reviews for “The Nature of Disappearing,” so be sure to take a look at those! I’m very much an outlier in my opinion.
