After reading this book, I was immediately hooked by the rich and complex world Stewart creates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story explores a broken world once inhabited by gods, mortals, and magic. One god promises salvation, but the cost of restoration is steep, leaving readers questioning if the outcome is truly worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through multiple POVs, we uncover various perspectives on this fractured world and the god\u2019s path to restoration. The world is layered with complexity, and each POV reveals new depths, keeping you eager to explore more in future installments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you enjoyed The Fifth Season<\/em> by N.K. Jemisin, With The Gods Below<\/em> may remind you of similar themes, including separated families, morally questionable institutions training people in magic, climate change, and rebellion. It\u2019s a must-read for fans of these themes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stewart\u2019s ability to balance different POVs is impressive. While not every character receives equal page time, the pacing works brilliantly, with sporadic POVs building up to major reveals that enhance the world-building and keep you on the edge of your seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, I found Rasha’s POV less compelling as the story progressed. While I see potential for her character development, her storyline lacked the nuance of others. A romance subplot introduced in her arc felt underdeveloped, making it hard to invest in, despite its importance to the plot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
