Tig travels to Darren to paint a portrait of Benjamin, her grandfather and local hero. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To find out more about him, Tig meets many Darren residents including Eloise, the woman who murdered Benjamin. This is a novel about family ties, secrets and the power and strength of women in the face of abuse and violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you to the Abigail Rose-Marie (author) and <strong>Lake Union Publishing<\/strong> for releasing this gifted copy. This debut novel was officialy published on <strong>September 1, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was instantly drawn to the cover and title of this book. Although I didn&#8217;t feel connected with the overarching plotline, the story itself is well-written. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This book is filled with unique characters, all with troubling secrets awaiting to be uncovered. There are decent twists along the way and a good level of depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, it is an average book. I found myself relieved to be done with it.
