“The Museum of Lost Quilts PDF” by Jennifer Chiaverini is another historical fiction novel of heartwarming story about Summer Sullivan and her efforts to preserve quilting history in her town.
Although it’s not the first book in the series, it’s the first one I’ve read, and I could understand it fine without reading the others.
Summer is at a turning point in her life and returns home to help with a community quilting camp she helped start. While there, she discovers some troubling information about the history of quilting groups in the area. Summer has to stand up for what’s right despite facing challenges.
I found it difficult to relate to Summer’s character. I could understand what she did, but I didn’t feel like I knew her as a person.
The Museum of Lost Quilts book mentions her activities, the food she eats, and what others are doing, but it doesn’t delve deeper into her personality. Maybe that’s because I haven’t read the previous books.
I enjoyed the quilting references and learning about quilting history, but this wasn’t the type of book I usually read. I thought it was a mystery, but it’s not. That might be why I didn’t enjoy it as much as I expected.
I think people who like quilting and cozy, heartwarming stories will enjoy this book.
